Google Search Console has introduced multi-country filtering in the Performance report, giving site owners and SEO teams a native way to analyze several markets together. Announced on October 6, 2026, the update removes a familiar piece of manual work from international Search reporting: users can select multiple countries in the same view instead of repeatedly switching country filters or combining separate exports.

For international SEO teams, the practical value is immediate. Search Console's Performance report is one of the primary places to inspect Google Search clicks, impressions and related performance metrics. Multi-country selection makes it possible to build regional views directly inside the interface and then drill down into individual markets when a change deserves closer investigation.

Regional SEO clusters become native to Search Console

The feature opens a straightforward workflow for sites operating across multiple countries. European markets can be analyzed as one group, English-speaking markets can be clustered together, or countries sharing a commercial strategy can be viewed as a single segment. That makes it easier to determine whether a change is isolated to one country or appears across a wider region.

Previously, analysts often had to export country-level data and aggregate it elsewhere when they wanted a combined regional picture. External dashboards and the Search Console API remain important for advanced analysis, but the new filter reduces that overhead for routine investigations.

What international SEO teams can do with it

One useful application is separating mature markets from expansion markets. Teams can create a view containing established countries, compare the overall Search trend, and then repeat the analysis for markets where visibility is still developing. Similar groupings can be created around language, product availability, geographic region or campaign strategy.

The same workflow can help during volatility. If clicks or impressions move sharply, grouping related countries can quickly show whether the pattern is regional before analysts spend time investigating every market independently.

A small interface change with a useful reporting impact

This is not a replacement for a full international SEO reporting stack. Search Console still represents Google Search performance rather than business outcomes, and deeper analysis may require analytics, conversion, revenue or warehouse data. But bringing multi-country selection directly into Performance makes a common diagnostic task faster.

For global sites, the key change is therefore not simply another filter. Search Console can now support regional market clusters as a native first step in analysis, shortening the path between global monitoring and country-level investigation.
